Heavenly Father
The times are strange
We have not known days like these
With pandemic and lockdown and restrictions
Which seem to have no clear timetable
And no end in sight.
Our human nature prefers to be in control
We like to know and to understand
To feel that we have choice
That we can decide what is going to happen
… and when.
And so we pray
That we will learn to trust better in your loving care
To remember that you alone are the Lord of Time
The King of Eternity
The Alpha and the Omega.
To allow you to be Lord of our lives
To allow your Lordship to shape our thoughts today.
Bringing peace and confidence and security and trust
For you are in control Lord.
