Heavenly Father
The words are so easily spoken
They run off the tongue
‘Filled to the measure of all the fullness of God’
What glorious words
What an amazing idea
What a wonderful prospect
That my life might be filled with your life
And yet,
I look at myself
And see a life that is so filled with the stuff of this world
That there seems to be little room left for the ‘fullness of God’
I fill my belly
I fill my mind
I fill my time
I fill my calendar
….. and I wonder why I feel empty.
Come, Lord Jesus
Take your place in my life
Fill me with your Spirit
Help me to make room.
So that I might be
‘Filled to the measure of all the fullness of God’
