Righteousness and peace and joy!
Lord, what a promise
What a blessing.
And yet we strive and struggle
Seeking to achieve fulfilment
and satisfaction in our own strength
By our own efforts
Through our own hard work.
Teach me again, Lord Jesus
To focus on our relationship
To grow closer to you through the Spirit
To submit and not to struggle
To walk in step with the Lord of Life
To allow you to set the pace
To permit you to chose the agenda.
Come, Holy Spirit
Fill me afresh today
May your own blessings of
Righteousness and peace and joy
Flow in and through me
To bring glory to Jesus
And blessings to others.
