All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the Word of the Lord stands for ever. 1 Peter 1:24-25
Heavenly Father
In the struggles of life
And in the battles of pandemic
It feels like there are no certainties
Change seems to swirl around us
And we struggle to know what the future holds.
But the Word of the Lord stands forever
Father, save me from the shifting sands
Teach me to trust in You alone
To live my life faithfully following Jesus
That he alone might be
The rock under my feet
The focus of my eyes
The lifter of my soul
Lord of my life.
