May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.
May my tongue sing of your word,
for all your commands are righteous. Psalm 119:171-172
Almighty God,
Who spoke the universe into being;
Lord Jesus,
Who is The Word of Life ;
Holy Spirit,
Who speaks into our lives each day.
Thank you for the gift of
Words and Language and Speech.
For the wonder and the power
Of communication.
Father,
Forgive me for using
This gift as a weapon to hurt others
Jesus,
Remove the hurt caused by words that I have spoken
Holy Spirit,
Sweeten my language that it might bring life and blessing.
Heavenly Father
By the power of your love
Bring gentleness and beauty into our language
That we might use this gift to build your kingdom,
In Jesus’ name.
