Heavenly Father
Even when I try with all my being
I fall short,
and the fruit of my brokenness
Is all too evident.
Your word shows that that my focus
Should be on tending my spiritual life
Abiding in You
Eating the Bread of Life
Drinking the Living Water
Meditating on the Word
Walking in the Spirit
Rooted and grounded in You alone.
…. and leaving the fruit production to the Holy Spirit.
This Year, Lord,
I long to bear good fruit
Fruit that will last
Fruit that will be a blessing to you
And a blessing to others.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Fill me afresh
Fill every cell of my being
Body, mind and spirit.
Come and produce your fruit in my life.
In Jesus name, I pray.
