We sing, “Tell out my soul!”
Remembering the words of Mary
“My soul glorifies the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.”
How can I keep from singing?
How can I keep from talking about my Lord?
How can I not tell others about Jesus my Redeemer?
And yet,
So often my lips are sealed
Through fear or embarrassment
I say nothing
I play down my enthusiasm for You, Lord
I water down the truth
I change the subject.
And so, the truth is not spoken
The testimony is not heard
Give me the words, Lord
Show me the opportunity
Help me to stop hiding my faith in the shadows
Let your light shine
Let it shine even through me
For your glory, Lord.
