Lord Jesus,
In the quiet of the night
Under the cover of darkness
You quietly explained to Nicodemus
That he needed to be ‘born again’.
With all his knowledge and learning
With a life of commitment and discipline
More focussed and righteous than I could ever hope to achieve
He still lacked one more life-transforming dynamic ….
To be Born of the Spirit.
Lord,
I know that I can only be born once
And I can only be ‘born again’ once
But I live my spiritual life so poorly
That I want to come and say
“Lord, come and give me new life today,
Help me to live as if I really am spiritually alive”
May I live my life as a Child of God
For your glory, Lord.
