Heavenly Father
In this season of harvest
When we see the fruit of the land being gathered in
We rejoice in the bounty of creation
In the wonder of the single seed producing the ear of corn.
In the amazing range of fruitfulness of this world.
As we rejoice with gratitude
For the harvest which produces food for our bodies
We pray also for the spiritual harvest
The harvest of salvation
The harvest of righteousness
The fruit of individual lives
The spiritual prosperity of your people.
In these days when we are restricted by lockdown
May we continue to drink the Living Water
To eat of the Bread of Life
To dig our roots deep down into your presence
To allow your life and fruitfulness to flow
So that we might be a blessing to you
And a blessing to those around us
In Jesus’ name.
