Heavenly Father
There are days when the reality of my brokenness
Fills my mind
And drags me down.
When my flaws and sins and shortcomings
Shape and define how I see myself
And I feel unworthy and undone.
And yet your Word, Lord,
Proclaims that I am precious in your sight
That I am ‘the apple of your eye’
Precious in your sight
Valued by Almighty God
Help me Lord
To comprehend my own identity as your child
To understand the depth of your love
To allow your protection to enrich my life.
And help me to see others through your eyes
To treat others as you would treat them
With love and grace and mercy
In Jesus name.
