Lord Jesus
Sometimes it just seems so hard
So hard to make my inside desires
match with my words and actions
To connect my heart with your heart
My life with your life.
I long, Lord, for a life that is joined up
My beliefs, my convictions, my words and actions
All united and in keeping with your word.
Lord Jesus
Please give me that new heart
Renew my heart and mind by the Holy Spirit
Fill me afresh today
Help me to walk in your decrees
And to be careful to obey your laws
And to live this life in all its fullness
That you won for me on the cross.
