The eternal God is your refuge,
and underneath are the everlasting arms. Deuteronomy 33:27
To be in your presence, Lord
To be close to you
To sense the richness of your nearness
Your arms around me
Your everlasting arms as my secure refuge …
What more could I hope for or desire?
And yet, like Adam, I often hide from you.
Father, forgive me for filling my time and my attention
With worries and trivia and other agendas
Forgive me for not following the example of Jesus
For not spending time with you
Time in private
Personal time
Precious time.
Lord, I hear you knocking.
Help me to open the door and welcome you in.
